From a young age, Felicite has been fascinated by the science of rocks, minerals and the Earth itself. Her greatest passion lies in understanding how crystals form at a molecular level and how individual elements bond together under the right conditions to create the intricate crystal structures found in nature.

She is equally captivated by the geological processes that shape our planet, the rich history of gemstones and minerals throughout different cultures and the etymology behind their names.

What began as a lifelong curiosity evolved into a career in 2021, when she founded From The Valley after the global pandemic and a serious illness unexpectedly changed her career path.

As the business grew, so did her passion for mineral science. Determined to build her knowledge on a foundation of education rather than folklore, Felicite completed her internationally recognised Gemologist Certification in January 2024 and continues to expand her expertise through ongoing self-directed study.

Today, Felicite combines her love of gemology with a commitment to sourcing exceptional-quality minerals and helping retailers better understand the products they sell. Her passion lies not only in finding beautiful specimens, but in sharing the science, stories and geological processes that make every piece unique.

With more than 15 years of experience in retail management and visual merchandising, Kim brings a wealth of industry knowledge to the From The Valley team. Throughout her career, she has developed a deep understanding of customer behaviour, retail operations and the merchandising techniques that encourage customers to stop, engage and purchase.

Kim has an exceptional eye for product presentation and understands that successful retailing is about more than simply stocking shelves. From creating visually compelling displays and effective store layouts to understanding purchasing psychology and customer flow, her expertise helps retailers maximise both the appeal and performance of their stores.

Having worked extensively on the retail side of the industry, Kim understands the challenges faced by shop owners and the expectations of their customers. This unique perspective allows her to provide practical, real-world advice that helps From The Valley members merchandise their products with confidence and create engaging retail spaces that encourage sales.

A valued member of the From The Valley team for more than three years, Tameeka plays an integral role in keeping the business running smoothly behind the scenes. From coordinating daily operations to ensuring orders are packed and dispatched quickly, her organisation, efficiency and attention to detail help deliver the high standard of service From The Valley is known for.

With a meticulous eye for detail, Tameeka is responsible for the final quality control inspection before every order leaves our warehouse. Each crystal is individually assessed for quality, condition and any imperfections before being carefully packed for shipping, ensuring our customers receive products that meet From The Valley's high standards. Her precision and care throughout this final stage give retailers confidence that every order has been thoroughly checked and professionally prepared for its journey.

Beyond logistics, Tameeka assists with day-to-day sales and operations and confidently manages the warehouse and showroom independently each week. Her reliability, initiative and willingness to step in wherever needed make her an invaluable part of the team.
